Welcome to the website of the Inspector of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the Office for Public Integrity (OPI) and Ombudsman SA.

The Inspector is appointed to undertake an annual review to examine the operations of the ICAC, the OPI and the Ombudsman, including consideration of whether the powers under the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 2012 and the Ombudsman Act 1972 were exercised in an appropriate manner.

The Inspector may also conduct reviews relating to relevant complaints received by the Inspector and other reviews on their own motion, or reviews at the request of the Attorney-General or the Crime and Public Integrity Policy Committee established under the Parliamentary Committees Act 1991.

The Inspector is required to deliver a report each year to the President of the Legislative Council and the Speaker of the House of Assembly who must then table the report in Parliament.

The Inspector is Philip Strickland SC.

Mr Strickland is a distinguished lawyer with more than 30 years’ experience in the profession, working in criminal law, appeals, corporate crime, discrimination law and competition law.
